Training and Capacity Building for Students, Academic and Administrative Staff

INTRODUCTION

At Global College Ambo, the Office of Quality Assurance—working closely with academic, administrative, and support units—remains firmly committed to enhancing the quality of teaching, learning, and institutional performance. As part of this commitment, the College has designed and delivered a series of capacity-building training programs aimed at empowering staff and students with the knowledge, skills, and mindset required to meet national standards and global expectations

These trainings focus on strengthening academic excellence, improving student support systems, advancing digital competencies, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement across the institution. By addressing key areas such as instructional effectiveness, assessment literacy, exit exam readiness, technology integration, and psychological preparedness, the College ensures that its community is well-equipped to excel in an evolving educational landscape. The following are the major trainings organized by the Office of Quality Assurance in collaboration with relevant offices, reflecting our ongoing dedication to building a strong, capable, and future-ready academic environment.

1. A Training Program Organized on the Title of ‘Ethiopian Coders Initiative for Employees at Global College’’ For Academic and Administrative Staff of the College on November 15/2025 G.C.

2. A capacity Building Training Conducted on January10, 2025 on the title of “ Customers handling & Change Management’’ both for Academic & Administrative Staff of Global College, Ambo

3. Capacity-Building Training Program on Pedagogy: (Modern Teaching and Learning Strategies) for the Academic Staff of Global College, Ambo. It was on Tuesday October15, 2024.

4. Students’ Capacity Building that have done so far : Exit Exam Orientation, Mock Exam, Tutorial Classes, ICT Skills Training and Psychological Readiness Support of Global College Organized by Offices of Quality.

5. A capacity Building Training Conducted on November 30/2022,December 01/2022 and December 02/2022 on the title of “ Customers handling & Change Management’’ both for Academic & Administrative Staff of Global College, Ambo
